In Dark City (1998), a man named John Murdoch
awakens with amnesia in a mysterious city
perpetually shrouded in darkness, where he
discovers he is being hunted by enigmatic
beings known as the Strangers who manipulate
reality and people's memories. As he seeks to
uncover his true identity and the secrets of the
city, Murdoch battles against the Strangers'
control while striving to reclaim his humanity
and the light that has been stolen from the world.
